Duquesne Incline
The Duquesne Incline has been around for a number of years. It was designed by Samuel Diescher. The incline was built to carry cargo up and down Mount Washington in the late 19th century. In 1962, the incline was closed for goood because it was in need of major repairs. On July 1st, 1963, the incline was reopened under the supervision of a non-profit organization dedicated to its preservation. The Duquesne Incline was also featured in the 1983 flim, Flash Dance.
